Types of Hard hat and its uses

Hard hat protects our head and are worn for safety in working environments. Many professionals who work day in and day out at construction sites or factories use hard hat so as to protect their heads from any kind of injuries caused by uncalled incidents. Earlier, these types of hats were made of metal, but today fiber glass and hard plastic are used in production of these hard hats.
Hard hat soaks all the pressure and absorbs the impact of a hit. It has a suspension on the inside which enables it to sop up the shocks. There are various types of hard hat for different types of purposes. Employer must ensure that the workers are equipped with the protective gears. He must also inform and educate them about the importance and usage of a hard hat. Hard hats can be broadly divided into three categories, class a, b and c.
Class A hard hat provides protection from impacts and penetrations. It provides a limited voltage of protection, mainly up to 2,200 volts. Class B hard hat are designed for protection from electricity. It provides a highest level of protection from electric shocks, burns and other electrical hazards. Class C hard hat have no protection from electricity whatsoever. These hard hats are used for evading low level impacts.
Bump hat is a hard hat which provides protection in areas with low clearance. Head bumps and bangs can be avoided by wearing this hard hat. These cannot give protection from falling objects and have a very limited amount of shock absorbing capacity.
