Painting aluminum radiator
Dirty aluminum radiators can reduce the beauty of the room, but it is true at the same that that it heats very quickly and proficiently. So if the radiator has become old then and the color has faded then an easy solution to this repainting without changing it to a new one. Painting aluminum radiator does not require any specific tool or expert help. It can simply be painted as we paint our metal items. But one thing must be kept in mind that the paint chosen must coordinate it and can tolerate the heat. By following these steps one can complete the painting of the aluminum radiator efficiently without any stress.
1. Before starting the work the room must be well ventilated so the doors and windows are opened.
2. The near the electrical appliances like the switches and appliances masking tape or painter’s tape is placed. If one is doing spray paint then plastic sheets are covered on the windows and walls. Below the radiator a newspaper is sprayed or a dry cloth piece is sprayed.
3. For creating a smooth surface it is essential to sand the radiator. For washing the radiator a mixture is prepared with soap and Luke warm water and a sponge is used for cleaning it.
4. Then with dry and clean towel all the soap residue is cleaned from the radiator. A safety glass and painter’s respirator is then used for painting. Then first a coat of primer is given and then desired color is applied.
