Managing resources advantageously.

To ensure the successful run of a project, it is necessary to be capable of managing resources efficiently. One has to monitor the facilities, resources as well as the team that is doing the job. Resources like inventory, human capital, financial capital, information technology and production resources are areas which need to be looked into and organised.

Human capital is nowadays frequently termed as human resource. However, objectifying a dynamic, valuable and creative section of the company not only underestimates the power of this segment but also undervalues their potential. When managing resources such as human capital, the manager has to plan how to get the best out of his employees with regard to their experience and capabilities and then allocate work accordingly. The employees look up to the manager for direction, guidance and vision. Thus, it is necessary for the manager to provide these by creating an atmosphere which will motivate them to utilise their full potential. When there is a change in the team, one must ensure that the new staffs are trained and educated with regard to the project, both its history and current status.

Managing resources competitively creates an advantageous situation for the company and its employees.
