Block paving: utilities
The paving slabs for block paving are manufacture by heavy machines. These products cannot be made by hand. They require heavy machinery. In this machinery fine and coarse materials are kept together with cement particles. Then under high vibration, the machine converts these into a mixture which is then set to different shapes and sizes. This durable concrete slabs are then used for making walkways, driveways, pool decks etc. there are two major ways to produce these slabs. The first method of production of paving slabs is through block making machines. The movements of the machines are strictly controlled by highly technical hydraulics. The compaction of the material inside the machine is done by weight vibrators.
This method provides several advantages like it is a very popular method, it is a comparatively cheaper method, it is more economical, it is more productive than the other method and moreover the product that is produced under this method is of high quality is able to sustain more pressure. The other method of production of paving slabs is that of hydraulic press machines. This method is not as popular because the do not provide the advantages of the other method.
